We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to take on the role of Civil Team Lead within our mining division. This position is pivotal in guiding a range of multidisciplinary projects with a strong emphasis on civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical leadership and governance across various projects, ensuring excellence in civil engineering practices.
  • Oversee the civil engineering function within the local business while contributing to broader initiatives across multiple offices.
  • Engage with clients in the mining sector and local authorities, including the preparation of competitive bids.
  • Mentor and develop junior civil engineering professionals, fostering their growth and expertise.
  • Enhance and uphold best practice Quality Assurance processes within the team.
  • Take on project management or discipline lead roles for significant multidisciplinary projects requiring civil engineering oversight.
  • Collaborate with the wider mining infrastructure team and other national teams as opportunities arise.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in leading teams within the mining design sector is essential.
  • Experience in a consultancy environment, specifically in civil engineering, with a focus on site water management systems and mine site infrastructure.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 15 years of relevant post-graduate experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is required.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to develop business and manage engineering teams effectively.
  • Experience in managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
