Procurement Contract Specialist


About the Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Procurement Contract Specialist to join our Projects Contracts & Procurement team. As a key member of this team, you will contribute to delivering superior project outcomes in the Australian Resources sector.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tender specifications and contractual documentation to achieve optimal value outcomes
  • Ensure standard procurement processes are followed, identifying areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement contracts that incorporate performance incentives and desired procurement objectives
  • Manage contract changes over their lifecycle
  • Monitor and analyse supplier and contract performance
  • Maintain contractor compliance within the Contract Management System
  • Negotiate with key suppliers, building sustainable relationships
  • Collaborate in dispute resolution and complaint management
  • Organise stakeholder and vendor meetings

Requirements:
  • Experience in contract and/or commercial roles, preferably in major projects and/or construction environments
  • Solid commercial acumen and financial evaluation skills
  • Negotiation experience and ability to develop contract strategies
  • A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of contract law and relevant legal issues
