Procurement and Contract Officer

This is a challenging role where you will be responsible for delivering procurement services to ensure a cost-effective, risk-managed service. You will work closely with the team to develop best practice in strategic sourcing, expenditure analysis, and supply chain strategies that optimise value from the supplier market.

About The Role

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across various categories of spend, including specialist equipment, general goods, and services.
  • Plan, specify, tender, evaluate, and negotiate contracts in accordance with relevant Australian Standard Contract Conditions and Queensland Government-approved contract conditions.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts required by Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service without a procurement process.

  • Deliver quality outcomes for children, young people, and families in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service values.
  • Contribute to the development of best practice in procurement and contracting.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve business objectives.
