We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Institutional Capital to join our New Business team at Dexus Units FP Stapled. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the growth and diversification of our institutional investor base, with responsibility for managing institutional investor relationships in Australia and New Zealand, capital raising for new products, and working collaboratively with the investor relations team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, understanding their strategic goals and investment objectives to identify sales opportunities.
- Lead the domestic institutional investor engagement strategy and serve as the key point of contact into the Dexus platform covering Australia and New Zealand.
- Initiate and follow up on business opportunities, including new product and strategies.
- Pitch to existing and potential investors on our existing product suite or new ideas/opportunities to collaborate.
- Raise awareness of the Dexus platform and products domestically.
- Lead institutional capital raising in Australia and New Zealand for new joint venture opportunities and new product initiatives, including involvement in marketing collateral, investor pitches, commercial term negotiation, and conversion.
- Direct negotiations with capital partners on commercial terms of new joint ventures established.
- Contribute as an active and contributing member in the New Business team.
- Work collaboratively with the broader New Business team, including the Investor Relations Team.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience within funds management, strategy/banking/corporate development, or distribution.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with the real-estate and/or infrastructure funds management sector, with the ability to discuss key economic and market trends in the context of Dexus products and opportunities.
- Existing industry and investor contacts within the real estate and infrastructure sectors both domestically and globally.
- Experience in institutional investment, including a client-focused approach to investment solutions and recommendations.
- Proven track record of delivering a range of projects from conception to completion, achieving project goals.
- Breadth of property and infrastructure knowledge and strong business acumen, financial analysis, and feasibility development skills.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Comprehensive negotiation, mediation, conflict management, and customer retention skills.
- Leadership and ability to develop a high-functioning team.
