Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Track and Civil Engineer to provide technical expertise and support to our business. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in railway track and civil engineering, including experience in project delivery, maintenance, design, and asset management.

About the Role
  • Provide technical guidance and support to various functions within the business.
  • Review designs for track and civil infrastructure from internal and external parties.
  • Lead investigations into root causes of incidents where track or civil infrastructure is suspected to be at fault.
  • Develop and implement short and long-term plans for asset maintenance and renewal.
  • Collaborate with the assets team to develop and maintain asset strategies.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standards, manuals, and specifications within their discipline area.
Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in railway track and civil engineering. This includes reviewing designs, leading investigations, and developing plans for asset maintenance and renewal.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering or related discipline.
  • 8+ years of practice in track, permanent way, or rail geotechnical roles.
  • Experience in project management, including structure, plans, specification, standards, and implications for project accountabilities.
