The role of Executive General Manager Rail & Infrastructure Delivery is a senior and important role within SRLA Senior Management team where you will be responsible for overseeing and mentoring a team of Package Directors delivering various packages across the project. Major elements of the role involve managing internal and external relationships to achieve project objectives, mentoring and guiding Package Directors in all aspects of project development and delivery, and providing advice to government senior management on project issues.

You will be working closely within a multi-disciplinary team environment providing specialist technical advice and you will be working with multiple stakeholders advising on a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to influence key project decisions. This advice will be presented to key project stakeholders, including senior project stakeholders, contractors, consultants and government departments.

You will be required to oversee and provide leadership to the activities of Package teams to ensure SRLA Project delivery within specified scope, time and budget. This role will also provide recommendations to the appropriate level of Governance (EGM, CEO or Board) on best for project outcomes with full consideration of the views of all Package Directors and their individual packages.

To deliver this role you will be a highly focused and results-driven person who is passionate about contributing to the delivery of public infrastructure and in working within a high-performing project team to drive exceptional outcomes.

Strong project delivery experience on $B+ Rail/Tunnel/Metro type projects combined with your exceptional stakeholder management and negotiations skills and ability to communicate complex technical, commercial, safety and other matters to government, senior executives and key stakeholders is critical to succeed in this role.

Ideally you will be a tertiary qualified Civil, Electrical or Mechanical engineer or qualified in a similar discipline with experience working within large Rail Infrastructure or Rail Tunnel Metro Projects. The salary for this role is negotiable and is highly competitive within the Public and Private sectors to attract the most suitably experienced individual.
