Role Summary

The Night Shirt Supervisor/Die Setter is a key member of our production team, responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of injection moulding machines and ensuring high-quality output.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will be responsible for coordinating and directing production employees. You will work closely with the planned schedule to ensure all materials and tooling are supplied to work areas, resulting in efficient utilization of machines, labor, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and providing direction to production/process employees.
  • Ensuring machine down-time is reported and addressed promptly.
  • Communicating production requirements, outcomes, goals to all reporting employees.
  • Actively encouraging and facilitating participation of individuals in organizational work, quality, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) / HACCP, OHS, and environmental requirements.
  • Undertaking training to continuously update skills to meet changing manufacturing processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Year 12 competency or relevant TAFE qualification/competency level plus completion of relevant training in Polymer Technology to meet Viscount skill levels.
  • Production Systems, Injection Moulding experience is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment including 2 years as a Leading Hand.
  • Good communication, both written and verbal.
  • Plastics Industry experience plus minimum of two (2) years experience in setting injection moulding machines.
  • Certificate of Competency in forklift and crane/dogman operations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with an emphasis on accuracy and precision.
