Job Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a professional to fill a key position in our occupational rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will work closely with injured workers, employers and medical professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.

The ideal candidate will apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes, collaborate with stakeholders, and assist clients to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes. A range of assessments will be completed to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers, and identify suitable employment opportunities.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will require tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling, and registration with a relevant professional body. Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
  • Work across various schemes such as workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veterans' Affairs, and employer-funded programs
  • Complete a variety of assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers, and identify suitable employment opportunities
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling
  • Registration with a relevant professional body
  • Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation preferred
  • Excellent communication, empathy and time management skills
