As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational rehabilitation services to clients. This involves undertaking assessments and developing effective rehabilitation plans to help individuals regain their independence and achieve their goals in life and work.
Your primary focus will be on providing expert advice and support to clients, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. You will work closely with our team to design and implement intervention programs that address the needs of each client, promoting maximal work participation and overall well-being.
To succeed in this role, you must possess strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and a genuine desire to make a measurable impact in people's lives. You will also need to demonstrate expertise in your discipline and be able to understand various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake occupational rehabilitation assessments, including activities of daily living, home, worksite, functional, ergonomic, and equipment assessments.
- Develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans based on your assessments.
- Design and implement intervention programs using occupation to improve functional performance, independence, and work capacity.
- Identify barriers and design, implement, and monitor programs that support people to achieve maximal work participation.
- Empower clients to achieve their wellness and recovery goals by understanding various healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes.
- Liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers, and stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy.
- Registration with AHPRA or ESSA.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and stakeholders.
- A customer-first mindset with a focus on quality outcomes.
- Confidence working independently in the community.
- Driver's licence and vehicle required.
- Eligibility for a working with children's check and police clearance.
