Technical Solutions Architect Role

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced Technical Solutions Architect to lead our technical innovation in Merchandise and Inventory tracking systems, designing solutions that meet current business requirements and adapt to future needs.

About the Role:

  • This is a senior technical leadership position responsible for developing and implementing technical strategies for AWS Cloud deployments and micro-services solution design.
  • The successful candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing robust and scalable technical solutions, particularly in the context of retail and data-intensive systems.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential to engage effectively with diverse technology teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To design and implement technical solutions leveraging AWS, ensuring alignment with broader technological strategies.
  • To work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand diverse perspectives and drive technical innovation.
  • To collaborate with Project, Delivery, and Iteration Managers to prioritise and sequence initiatives in trimester/sprint planning.
  • To act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating technical jargon into business-friendly language.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing technical solutions, particularly in the context of AWS Cloud deployments and micro-services solution design.
  • Prior knowledge of retail and/or data-intensive systems and a clear understanding of the technological challenges and opportunities in this space.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Eventing/Streaming technologies and their use in critical business decisioning technologies.
  • Proven ability to design robust and scalable solutions that go beyond immediate business needs, ensuring adaptability to future requirements and advancements in cloud technology.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to articulate complex architecture concepts clearly.
