Sensor Operator Instructor for MH-60R Helicopter Training

About the Role

This position is based at HMAS Albatross in Nowra, supporting the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). As a key member of the CAE Australia team, you will be working on the MH-60R training system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse daily flight programs to plan and prepare training simulators based on pre-programmed events and ad-hoc training requirements.
  • Load initial conditions and parameters within training scenarios, such as weather, aircraft loadout, and role-playing units to ensure scenarios are prepared prior to mission start.
  • Document discrepancies and/or malfunctions determined during training and provide them to CAE's maintenance team.
  • Simulate synthetic environments involving Land, Sea, Surface and Sub-surface units while operating live support alongside aircrew instructors.
  • Assist maintenance teams in troubleshooting by utilizing on-the-job experience and expertise gained during customer support.
  • Perform ancillary or secondary duties in support of overall Program requirements.
Your Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with strong basic computer skills focused around managing and manipulating software applications under an aircrew instructor's direction. Knowledge of RAN Maritime & air operations, capabilities, and tactical relationships is also essential. Practical understanding of MH-60R sensor suites would be highly desirable.

Security Clearance Requirements

You must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance.
