About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset Finance Collections Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day Arrears and Default accounts, identifying potential risks, and working with borrowers to achieve resolutions within reasonable timeframes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Arrears and Default accounts from 1 day past due until resolution.
  • Early detection and identification of accounts at risk.
  • Submission of recommendations to achieve resolutions.
  • Maintenance of arrears at acceptable levels through effective policy use.
  • Establishing alternative repayment arrangements for borrowers experiencing hardship.
  • Effective communication and resolution skills.
  • Meeting service standards and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Development and maintenance of relationships with borrowers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Recognising and implementing loss mitigation strategies.
  • Liaison with borrowers, solicitors, valuers, and Originators/Introducers.
  • Achievement of monthly arrears target figures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-5 years Collections experience (Asset Finance experience desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to meet set arrears targets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of telephone debt collection procedures.
  • Negotiation, analytical, and numerical skills.
  • Experience in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
