**Job Title:** Advanced Midwifery Care Specialist**Job Overview:**

Mater Hospital Mackay is seeking a skilled Clinical Midwife to work in our Maternity Unit on a permanent part-time basis. As a Clinical Midwife, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure quality and risk management.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Provide support to staff on best practices for managing pregnancy care and improving outcomes for women in both antenatal and postnatal stages.
  • Support the Nurse Unit Manager in implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision.
  • Provide clinical guidance, leadership and education to members of the clinical team to ensure consistent and collaborative implementation of improvement activities.
**Requirements:**
  • Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA.
  • Post-graduate midwifery experience.
  • Advanced clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of midwifery practice.
  • Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care within the multidisciplinary team.
