Midwifery Expert Role

Overview of the position requires a highly skilled and experienced midwife to manage pregnancy care and improve outcomes for women in both antenatal and postnatal stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to staff on best practices for managing pregnancy care and improving maternal health.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care and manage complex cases.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance quality and risk management within maternity services.
  • Lead clinical guidance and education sessions to promote consistent and collaborative implementation of improvement activities.
About You
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Post-graduate midwifery experience.
  • Advanced clinical competency and ability to maintain high standards of practice.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills to maximise patient care within multidisciplinary teams.
