Job Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Midwife to provide high-quality patient care and support the development of strategies to ensure quality and risk management in our Maternity Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement best practices for managing pregnancy care and improving outcomes for women in antenatal and postnatal stages.
  • Support the Nurse Unit Manager in integrating quality and risk management into service provision.
  • Provide clinical guidance, leadership, and education to the clinical team to ensure consistent implementation of improvement activities.
  • Liaise with obstetric teams to ensure coordinated care and manage complex cases with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout the care continuum.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current Midwifery registration with the relevant authority.
  • Post-graduate midwifery experience.
  • Advanced clinical competency and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of midwifery practice.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills to maximise patient care.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and the Mater values.
