Clinical Midwife Opportunity

Our organization seeks an experienced Clinical Midwife to deliver exceptional patient care and contribute to our multidisciplinary team.

The successful candidate will practice with advanced clinical competence, providing high-quality and cost-effective care in consultation with other healthcare professionals.

  • Support staff in adopting best practices for pregnancy care and improving outcomes for women during antenatal and postnatal stages.
  • Collaborate with the Nurse Unit Manager to integrate quality and risk management into service provision.
  • Provide clinical guidance, leadership, and education to ensure consistent implementation of improvement activities across the clinical team.
  • Liaise with obstetric teams to provide coordinated, comprehensive care and manage complex cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to Quality, Safety, and Work Health and Safety processes in the clinical area.

Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care is essential for this role.

Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth is a key responsibility of the Clinical Midwife.

About the Role
  • Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA is required.
  • Post-graduate midwifery experience is necessary.
  • Advanced clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of midwifery practice are essential.
  • Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximize patient care within the multidisciplinary team are required.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of healthcare and midwifery practice, and to continuing professional development of self and others is expected.
  • Ability to work autonomously and function as a member of a diverse health service delivery team is necessary.
  • Willingness to commit to and role model organizational values is also required.
