Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team in supporting individuals with illnesses, disabilities, or injuries.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychology, occupational therapy, or physiotherapy and be passionate about injury prevention and return-to-work initiatives.

This is a diverse role that offers flexibility and autonomy while working closely with a supportive team of healthcare professionals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and developing effective treatment plans to support clients' recovery and return to work
  • Collaborating with employers, employees, and medical professionals to develop injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Identifying and addressing psychosocial barriers to employment and providing support to clients to achieve successful outcomes

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, health sciences, or rehabilitation counselling, or tertiary qualification in occupational therapy, exercise physiology, physiotherapy, social work, or nursing with registration with AHPRA, ESSA, or AASW
  • Strong communication and time management skills, with a desire to problem-solve and innovate
