Work Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Work Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with clients who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries at work. Your primary objective will be to create personalized rehabilitation plans that facilitate their return to work and daily life.

Main Responsibilities:
  • You will perform various assessments, including vocational evaluations, transferable skills assessments, job preparation services, worksite assessments, and initial needs assessments.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders, such as injured employees, employers, medical specialists, and other allied health professionals, is essential in this position.
  • You will develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans through case management.
  • Your contribution to client outcomes will be significant, supporting return-to-work goals, whether the client returns to their previous job or transitions to new employment opportunities.
Requirements:
  • You must hold current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA or ASORC).
  • Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology are required (Fully registered or Provisional Psychologists with external supervision).
  • Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support shared goals are necessary for success in this role.
  • A passion for helping people rehabilitate, along with occupational rehabilitation experience, is highly desirable.
