About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Executive to join our team at SAS. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for executing sales strategy across the full SAS portfolio in Public Sector.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sell SAS solutions to Public Sector customers, highlighting the value proposition of our software and services.
  2. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, business developments, and SAS' goals and objectives.
  3. Understand SAS' pricing, licensing procedures, and approvals matrix.
  4. Identify high-potential accounts and develop sales strategies to pursue them.
  5. Collaborate with other sales professionals, customer advisory teams, and executives to respond to qualified leads.
  6. Prepare quotes, proposals, and contracts, and work cross-functionally to finalize agreements.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  8. Travel up to 30% (domestically) to meet with customers and partners.

Requirements

  1. 8+ years of experience in software sales, with a focus on Public Sector.
  2. Ability to initiate and lead sales opportunities, relating technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs.
  3. Growth mindset, creativity, and a value-based selling approach.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Ability to travel.
  7. Bachelor's degree in Business or a relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience selling software solutions to enterprise customers, with a focus on Analytics, SaaS, AI/ML, and/or Cloud.
  2. Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics, developing a sales plan that aligns SAS capabilities with enterprise challenges in Public Sector.
