Our goal is to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure projects successfully. To achieve this, we are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with the right skills and experience.
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to join our high-performing Water Division in Brisbane. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects across metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts.
About the role:
You will be responsible for providing professional engineering skills in the areas of water and wastewater infrastructure. Your tasks will include preparing conceptual, preliminary, and final design, attending project requirement meetings, and engaging in the development of designs through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
Additionally, you will develop and manage project scope, including cost estimates, budget, staffing, and schedule. You will also prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact, and communication pertaining to specific projects.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments, serving as a liaison between senior engineers and design teams. You will also confirm adherence to construction specifications during each phase of a project, monitor project progress, inspect construction sites, and verify calculations and placements.
The ideal candidate will have a recognized tertiary qualification in Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent, with Chartership/RPEQ or working towards being highly regarded. Relevant professional experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry is essential, with over 5 years of civil/infrastructure engineering experience – design and construction. Expertise in dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders is also required.
