Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Engineer to fill this key role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Civil Engineers on the design and layout of civil infrastructure facilities.
  • Develop detailed engineering of typical infrastructure facilities including bulk earthworks detailing, earthworks design and specifications, surface runoff drainage works, stormwater drainage network, roads, underground utility piping, road and rail alignment design, and bridge modeling.
  • Ensure timely preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals, including problem analysis and review of design.
  • Perform calculations and basic preliminary analyses.
  • Verify manufacturer's drawings and data for compliance with specifications.
  • Prepare specifications and design calculations.
  • Review engineering studies and reports.
  • Assist in developing or reviewing material quantity estimates.
  • Support the development of established design concepts for process systems, structures and equipment.
  • Utilize engineering computer aided design/computer aided engineering (CAD and/or CAE) tools as directed.
  • Compile, verify and correlate data relating to engineering problems.
  • Contribute to supplier evaluation.
  • Maintain records for equipment and components.
  • Assist in preparing material requisitions, specifications and other related procurement documents.

This position requires strong technical expertise and effective collaboration within a multi-discipline project team. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant technical discipline is required, along with 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of design for underground services, experience working in a multi-discipline project team, and a basic understanding of engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.
