Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Financial Analyst to join our team in Melbourne, Victoria. This is a permanent full-time position that offers a competitive market salary and a range of benefits.

About the Opportunity

This role will involve providing general ledger reconciliation services to designated customer groups within the wider RACV business. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations, preparing month-end journals, and investigating and clearing reconciling items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations and identify system/process issues impacting financial reporting integrity.
  • Prepare month-end journals in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure reconciliations are prepared, reconciling items identified, followed up and cleared within agreed timeframes.
  • Responsible for investigating, clearance and reporting of reconciling items.
  • Identify and document system/process issues, review data processed into the general ledger and ensure it is appropriately supported.
  • Recommend and implement business/process simplification initiatives, identify areas of financial control weakness, and recommend improvement.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for general ledger reconciliation services to designated customer (departments) and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in fields of business, accounting and/or economics is essential.
  • Experience of general ledger and bank reconciliations is essential.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent time management and effective communication skills
  • Ability to analyse problems and propose solutions.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a finance role is viewed positively.
  • Previous knowledge and experience in the ERP system are preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including intermediate Excel skills.
  • Customer service focus to both internal and external stakeholders
