Six Degrees Executive is a leading executive search firm that partners with clients to identify and attract top talent. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst - Operations to join our team in the North-Eastern suburbs.

About the Role:

This is a 3-month contract role with the possibility of extension. As a Senior Financial Analyst - Operations, you will be responsible for providing financial insights and support to the Production Manager and the broader Operations team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with Operations to achieve financial and operational targets;
  • Contributing to the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations;
  • Investigating and reporting on plant variances and KPIs;
  • Preparing the monthly forecast for production and supply chain;
  • Developing and implementing necessary processes to support internal forecasting/reporting requirements;
  • Performing complex cost analysis and audits associated with the cost accounting function;
  • Providing financial support for productivity initiatives, including allocation, tracking, and reporting;
  • Providing financial support for capital investment analysis and fixed asset accounting;
  • Delivering ad hoc financial analysis as requested.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in general business and finance;
  • Experience in operations, manufacturing, or a related industry (desired);
  • Experience with financial modelling;
  • The ability to identify areas for continuous improvement and make recommendations for enhancement;
  • Effective business partnering skills, including managing relationships with internal customers;
  • Experience working with and maintaining existing controls;
  • A high level of attention to detail, with proven quality and accuracy of work;
  • Proactive research, analysis, and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
  • The ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment;
  • An intermediate level of proficiency in Word and Excel.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum.
