Job Title

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

About the Role

The Office of the Australian Building Codes Board is responsible for maintaining the National Construction Code, servicing the Board, and implementing its decisions. As CEO, you will have day-to-day responsibilities for leading the Office and managing its staff, engaging with stakeholders, managing finances and the work program to deliver and maintain the NCC.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Office and its services.
  2. Lead a team of experts in technical committees to develop and review building codes and standards.
  3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to promote the interests of the organization.
  4. Manage financial resources and develop budgets to ensure the efficient use of funds.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in leadership and management, preferably in a government or regulatory agency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive decision-making and solve complex problems.
