Job Title: Vice President of Fixed Income

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the build-out of the Fixed Income and Currencies Corporate business in Australia. They will have the opportunity to build close relationships with the teams onshore and within the organization more broadly on a regional and global basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide FX and Interest rate risk management solutions to corporate clients in Australia, including Investment solutions where relevant.
  • Grow the FIC Corporate flow business with Australian Corporates and develop business opportunities (both public and private deals).
  • Originate business opportunities with existing and new clients and provide advisory on risk management and building deal pipelines in collaboration with the Global Markets teams.
  • Prepare pitchbooks, market comments, term sheets, and other marketing materials.
  • Drive sales initiatives and maintain awareness of SG's FX & Rates strengths and offerings.
  • Work in close partnership with the broader FIC desk in Sydney in building out the franchise.
  • Maintain strong connectivity with the market, understanding the needs of the different corporate clients and industry groups.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering.
  • At least 6-8 years of relevant financial markets experience in Sales or Global Markets.
  • Proven capabilities in building strong relationships with the Australian Corporate clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge on Fixed Income and Currencies products.
  • Good knowledge on the usage of dealing platforms for credit FX and FI.
  • Strong ability in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Power Point and Excel.
