Job Summary

The Business Support Lead plays a vital role in the City Plan and Transformation Unit, providing high-level support to the Manager and team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating projects and initiatives, supporting daily operations, and fostering a collaborative environment focused on organizational priorities and community needs.
  • Providing executive support to the Manager and team, including diary management, meeting coordination, briefing preparation, and minute-taking.
  • Managing consultancies, preparing project briefs, and supporting stakeholder and community engagement activities.
  • Implementing business and process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Utilizing technology and systems to streamline administrative processes.
  • Researching and preparing reports, presentations, and strategic documents.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent business experience (minimum 5 years).
  • Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in government relations and project management.
  • Strong attention to detail and high-level communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows programs.
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
