The role of the Web Content Developer is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of a SharePoint-based formal document management system covering various functions.
This position assists in the ongoing development and maintenance of digital content, including converting technical, process-driven, and supporting documents into web pages and other interactive digital content.
The successful candidate will have excellent technical competencies in producing high-quality digital content with good time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop content in SharePoint that supports staff to effectively interact with business units.
- Assist in content publication, including creating, editing, reviewing, and archiving digital content, ensuring consistency in presentation and branding.
- Curate documentation and the team's digital asset library.
- Develop site maps and site page templates.
- Contribute to documenting processes.
- Respond to service desk requests and incidents.
- Manage cross-functional workflows and ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and finalization of allocated tasks in a timely fashion.
- Work independently within an environment of change and ambiguity, with minimal instruction or guidance.
- Resolve conflicts between competing work goals, priorities, and projects.
- Display sound judgment in challenging environments.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical information to produce engaging digital content in the form of web pages on SharePoint sites.
- Ability to estimate time to complete technical requirements and report effectively.
- Ability to edit and publish SharePoint intranet sites to maintain comprehensive and unified suites of interlinked resources.
- Effective communication skills, including building productive working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Strong technical skills in SharePoint, Visio, and DevOps, and/or demonstrated aptitude in learning how to operate new technologies.
- Ability to analyze digital content for quality and accuracy.
- Strong self-management skills, including the ability to organize work activities and complete tasks within agreed timeframes.
The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines. They will also be able to collaborate effectively with internal teams and communicate complex ideas clearly.
They should have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to think critically. Additionally, they should be able to demonstrate initiative and take ownership of their work.
OthersOther duties may include maintaining and updating existing content, developing new content, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
They should be able to learn quickly, work independently, and contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
