About the Role

Kinetic is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our Central Queensland team. As a key member of our HSEQ team, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining our Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Enhance HSEQ Management Plans: Assist the HSEQ Manager in developing and implementing health, safety, environment, and quality management plans, strategies, policies, procedures, and documentation.
  2. Conduct On-Site Assessments: Regularly conduct on-site assessments across locations to ensure HSEQ best practices are followed and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Provide HSEQ Training: Deliver HSEQ training, toolbox talks, and promote a positive safety culture among staff to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  4. Identify Improvement Opportunities: Identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and work with teams to implement them, contributing to the achievement of Kinetic's HSEQ goals and objectives.
  5. Monitor and Report HSEQ Metrics: Monitor and report on HSEQ metrics and assist in communications with regulatory agencies and senior management.
  6. Promote Adherence to HSEQ Management Systems: Promote adherence to Kinetic's HSEQ Management Systems and risk controls to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
  7. Assist in Incident and Risk Management: Assist in the incident and risk management processes, including timely reporting, investigation, corrective action closure, and knowledge sharing across the group.
  8. Support Continuous Improvement Committee: Support the local Continuous Improvement Committee in monitoring and reporting on HSEQ performance within the business unit.
  9. Prepare for Audits and Certifications: Assist in preparing for and supporting third-party audits and certifications to ensure compliance and maintain our high standards.
  10. Develop Safety-Related Training Workshops: Work with the Learning and Development team to create and deliver safety-related training workshops to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  1. Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety: Hold a Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
  2. Knowledge of WHS Legislation: Have knowledge of applicable WHS legislation and regulations.
  3. Strong Communication Skills: Be highly articulate with strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and regulatory agencies.
  4. Strong Integrity and Continuous Improvement Mindset: Demonstrate strong integrity and a continuous improvement mindset to drive positive change and enhance our HSEQ performance.
  5. Ability to Work in a Dynamic Environment: Be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and agile environment with a positive approach to day-to-day business operations.
  6. Strong Numerical Analytical Skills: Possess strong numerical analytical skills to effectively monitor and report on HSEQ metrics.
  7. Strong Computer Literacy: Have strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
