Senior Manager Private Wealth Markets Executive

About the TeamOur Private Wealth team is a key part of Commonwealth Private's success. We work closely with our corporate banking, business banking, and retail banking businesses to deliver a comprehensive range of solutions to our clients.
About the OpportunityThe Senior Manager Private Wealth Markets will play a critical role in the delivery of quality operational outcomes for our Private Wealth business. This role will involve managing the execution of investments on behalf of clients, implementing portfolios, and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the execution of investments across all asset classes, including direct equities, bonds, FX, and managed funds.
- Implement portfolios for managed accounts and direct investments.
- Embed risk and control governance uplift within the Private Wealth Team and broader business.
- Drive process improvements to deliver operational efficiencies in investment execution and portfolio implementation.
- Contribute to the effective operation of governance forums, including the Product Management Committee and the Managed Account Working Group.
- Be an active and contributory member of the Private Wealth Leadership Team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or Business.
- RG 146 General, RG 146 Securities, RG 146 Managed Investments, RG 146 FX, and RG 146 Margin Lending qualifications.
- 5+ years' experience as an investment execution professional, trader, sales-trader, DTR, investment adviser, or relationship manager.
- Superior numeracy skills, acute attention to detail, and the ability to work swiftly and under pressure with vigilant accuracy.
- A good understanding of risk identification and risk management, particularly market/financial risk and operational risk.
- A solid understanding of wealth management ecosystems and processes, including wrap platforms, equities, bonds, and FX execution platforms.
- A sound understanding of the investment process, the range of investment markets, and financial instruments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Diligent data input skills, including a keen eye for detail.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, and strong competency using Excel, wrap platforms, and equities trading platforms.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take ownership of tasks.
- Experience in leading a small team.
