
Culturally Sensitive Community Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate specialist to provide culturally safe support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. This role involves setting up and delivering wraparound services, consulting with local communities, conducting needs assessments, and promoting client empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement culturally sensitive case management plans for clients across Sydney, Illawarra, and Southern NSW regions.
- Collaborate with community organizations to improve service access and responsiveness.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments, risk assessments, and safety planning to ensure the well-being of clients.
- Prepare detailed reports and attend court or tribunals to support clients.
- Promote client empowerment through guidance and capacity-building, particularly for domestic violence survivors.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to relevant policies and codes of conduct.
- You must identify as and be recognized as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, with strong cultural awareness and respect for community practices.
- Relevant qualification in Social Work or a related field, with demonstrated experience in social work, case management, or multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills, with the ability to maintain boundaries and manage diverse workloads independently.
- Computer literate, adaptable to new technologies, and capable of meeting deadlines under minimal supervision.
- Hold a current NSW driver's licence and be willing to travel intrastate.
