About the Role

A high-profile opportunity has emerged for an experienced Shopping Centre Manager to spearhead the retail property business of a well-respected developer in Australia. This newly created role is poised to drive strategic initiatives and oversee the presentation, maintenance, and leasing of shopping centres.

Job Description
  • Oversee the overall appearance and upkeep of the complex, ensuring a high standard of presentation at all times.
  • Manage expenditure effectively, restricting unnecessary outflows of funds.
  • Maintain open communication with tenants, landlords, and stakeholders via Colliers Portfolio Directors, providing timely advice on various aspects of retail property management.
  • Promote centre leasing by managing relationships with external leasing executives and implementing own strategies.
  • E nsure lease agreements and documentation are executed properly and recorded on property information systems.
  • Supervise tenancy fit-outs to ensure consistency with building objectives.
  • Negotiate rent reviews, lease renewals, and other tenant-related matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections to guarantee top-notch housekeeping, coordinating minor works within the management scope.
  • Prepare detailed monthly and annual narrative reports, covering financial data, budget variances, arrears, vacant space, contractor performance, defects, and remedial actions.
  • Handle day-to-day correspondence and management activities.
  • Develop ongoing relationships with internal stakeholders to source and refer opportunities.
  • Assist in creating and implementing the division's strategic plan and marketing strategy.
Requirements
  • Experience in the Shopping Centre industry, preferably as a Shopping Centre Manager or Retail Manager.
  • Strong client-centric approach with the ability to build effective relationships across levels.
  • Passion for teamwork and collaboration.
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks independently, meeting deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent financial acumen, including budgeting and managing end-of-month finances.
  • Proactive and self-motivated individual contributing value to the team.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, along with strong written communication and problem-solving abilities.

Compensation Package
