We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Specimen Collector to join our team at Healius in Australia. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will play a vital role in collecting blood and coordinating specimen samples from patients.

About the Role

As a Clinical Specimen Collector, your primary responsibility will be to collect blood and other specimens from patients while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

You will work closely with our Collection Lead and collaborate with a passionate team to deliver high-quality healthcare services.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting blood and non-blood specimens with care and attention to detail.
  • Maintaining accurate records for every patient and sample.
  • Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times.
  • Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing.
  • Liaising with customers, clinic staff, and couriers.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a healthcare background.
  • Transferable skills gained in other positions within the healthcare industry highly desirable.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy.
  • Organisation and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic.
  • Hold a valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics.
  • Hold a working with Children's Check or be willing to obtain one.
  • Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with permission to work.
