Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pathology Supervisor to lead our patient services team at Alfred Health. This is a full-time position based at The Alfred.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity will see you provide leadership and guidance to our collection teams, ensuring we deliver high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service. As a key member of our pathology team, you will work closely with laboratory staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of specimen collectors across multiple hospital locations, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction, service efficiency, and overall quality of care.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to relevant guidelines and policies.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A Certificate IV in Pathology Collection or equivalent experience.At least 7 years' experience in specimen collection, including working in a hospital environment.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a team.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.A valid driver's licence, as travel between sites may be required.
