We are seeking a skilled Pathology Collector to join our team at St Vincent's Pathology. As a Pathology Collector, you will be responsible for collecting, caring, storing, packaging, and labelling pathology specimens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting and processing pathology specimens
- Providing a high-quality pathology service to requesting doctors and patients
- Greeting patients and interviewing them to obtain key information for identification purposes
- Referring doctor information and collection of category and billing information
- Explaining procedures to patients and providing written instructions as needed
- Collecting and storing specimens in labelled containers and transporting them to the required destination
Requirements:
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Pathology Collection
- Experience in a pathology collection service is highly desirable
- Highly developed customer service and communication skills
