About the Role

The Graduate Systems Officer will work closely with the Information Services team to design and enhance back-end systems that deliver valuable and user-friendly data. Your responsibilities will include exploring automation and optimisation opportunities through technology, including AI, and developing and implementing solutions for data visualisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Waste and Cleansing team in the rollout and implementation of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with vendors to perform testing and make necessary refinements.
  • Partner with Information Services to develop back-end systems, dashboards, and integrate with waste contractor systems.
  • Identify and gather reporting requirements for the unit, leveraging technology to enhance accuracy and automate processes.
  • Review and streamline waste processes with relevant managers and team members to optimise efficiency.
  • Maintain and manage databases.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Strong computer literacy, organisational, and time management skills, with experience in Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft Operating Systems.
  • Understanding of the OSI model and extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
