Team Leader Job

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will lead a small team to achieve production goals while operating machinery safely and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise your line team to meet production targets while maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Operate state-of-the-art chocolate moulding lines, including enrobing, depositing, mixing fillings and tempering chocolate.
  • Take responsibility for end-to-end machine operations, ensuring quality control and GMP guidelines are met.
  • Organise packing staff at end-of-line packing stations.
  • Follow set recipes and methods to create chocolates to specification.
  • Mix and blend ingredients to prepare fillings for depositing.
  • Follow and execute production schedules.
  • Perform consistent heavy lifting of up to 25kg throughout shifts.
  • Complete machine clean down and line changeovers efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and traceability records.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders when required.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG.
  • Proven leadership or team leader experience within production.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a quick learning attitude.
  • Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to keep your work area clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards.
  • A can-do attitude with punctuality and reliability.
