Job Title: Shift Supervisor

">About the Role

The Shift Supervisor will have day-to-day responsibility for overseeing a team of production operatives, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of shift production targets, supporting maintenance activities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to achieve daily and weekly production schedules, maximizing production efficiency and DIFOT.
  • Evaluate and implement measures to ensure all employees perform at their best at the start of each shift.
  • Maintain and enforce site standard operating procedures (SOPs) among operators.
  • Hold operators accountable for adhering to quality standards.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards during shifts.
  • Develop team capabilities by monitoring skills, scheduling training, and delivering training as needed.
  • Participate in open communication and provide meaningful feedback at start-up and handover times on production-related activities.
  • Escalate issues through the Production Manager to sales and logistics to ensure timely customer delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Ideal background in plastics recycling.
  • Experience working in similar industrial manufacturing businesses.
  • Proven track record in managing and leading small teams.
  • Familiarity with 24/5 environments.
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
