We're now seeking a hands-on and experienced Production Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations at our production facility. This is a pivotal leadership role ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality ice production and warehouse dispatch operations.

About the Role

As the Production Supervisor, you will oversee the manufacturing, packaging, and warehousing of ice products at our facility. You'll be responsible for meeting daily production targets, leading a team of production staff, ensuring regulatory compliance (WHS, HACCP, CoR) and driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is a hands-on role, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring teams, and has strong operational problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production, packaging, and dispatch operations.

Lead a team of production and warehouse staff across shifts.

Adjust production schedules in line with demand, delivery windows, or maintenance requirements.

Conduct daily operational checks, productivity reporting, and safety assessments.

Ensure HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety compliance.

Maintain accurate stock records, oversee monthly stocktakes, and coordinate with suppliers.

Troubleshoot equipment or operational issues and escalate as required.

Oversee rosters, timesheets, leave management, and team performance reviews.

Assist with hands-on duties including forklift operation and ice dispatch during peak periods.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.

Participate in audits and incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.

Collaborate closely with the Facilities Supervisor to manage maintenance and equipment.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications:

Valid Forklift Licence (required)

Mechanical aptitude or trade skills (desirable)

Experience:

2+ years in a similar supervisory role in a production, cold storage, or FMCG setting

Exposure to food processing or HACCP-regulated environments

Experience leading teams in a hands-on capacity

Skills:

Strong leadership and communication skills

Sound understanding of HACCP, WHS, and Chain of Responsibility regulations

Organised, detail-focused, and capable of managing competing priorities

Calm under pressure and proactive in problem-solving

Tech-savvy with reporting, rostering, or warehouse stock systems

Additional Requirements

Willingness to work some public holidays and peak seasonal periods

Ability to travel to regional or state branches when required
