Job Overview

QA Build is a leading construction company working with GemLife, boasting a long pipeline of work on resorts across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Labourer/Operator to join our team in Rockhampton. This new site has commenced construction of villas, and we require an excavator operator with a skid steer license skilled in digging, moving and compacting earth.

A multi ticketed candidate, holding either a Moxy and/or telehandler license, would be ideal for this role. However, the most important requirement is the excavator license and experience, along with the ability to assist with labouring tasks. If you possess any or all of these qualifications and experience, you will be well-suited for this position.

This varied role will include labouring work and other duties. We expect candidates to have previous experience within construction, be proactive about maintaining a clean and tidy site, and ask for additional tasks once completed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-starts on machinery.
  • Ensure precise excavation techniques.
  • Possess an Excavator License.
  • Hold a Skid Steer License.
  • Have a Telehandler License (not essential).
  • Be willing to take direction and proactively understand the role's requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy site.
  • Possess a Construction Industry Card (White Card).
  • Hold an Australian driver's license.
  • Have previous experience as a construction labourer.
  • Show a real understanding and diligence regarding Site Safety.
