Project Management Opportunity

The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking an experienced project manager to plan, manage and deliver key project outcomes within the Energy & Resources (E&R) Program.

The E&R Program is responsible for delivering impact and value to improve the safety, reliability, resilience and productivity of the energy and resources sectors in Australia and the Asia-Pacific Region.

The ideal candidate is a person who thrives in a collaborative workplace, is dedicated to achieving project objectives using effective and efficient methods, is able to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders, has advanced project management skills and understands how to tailor processes based on each project's characteristics.

  • Drive project delivery, managing all aspects including financial and resource planning, team performance support and encouragement.
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders to manage risks and issues and deliver project outcomes.
  • Maintain project documents following prescribed standards and contribute to the improvement of project governance practices.
  • Ensure diversity and inclusion principles are applied in the work area.
  • Comply with all work health and safety policies and procedures.
Key Skills:

Advanced project management skills, ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, experience in tailoring project methodologies, understanding of project delivery best practices.
