About the Role

As a Strategic Partnership Development Manager at Rio Tinto, you will play a pivotal role in fostering meaningful connections with suppliers and local communities across Australia and New Zealand.

This is an opportunity to showcase your skills in strategic collaboration, networking, and storytelling, while making a tangible impact on the company's initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective partnerships that drive business growth, foster sustainable engagement, and promote positive community outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sustainable Engagement Champion: Lead the charge in creating and executing strategies that position Rio Tinto as the Customer of Choice in the mining and metals industry. This includes overseeing the Supplier Recognition Program and spearheading initiatives that celebrate supplier excellence.
  • External Engagements Coordinator: Coordinate and attend events across Australia and New Zealand, representing Rio Tinto and fostering meaningful connections with local businesses and communities.
  • Supplier Engagement Strategist: Support teams across Australia and New Zealand in implementing our Supplier Engagement strategy, driving sustainable business practices and local partnerships.
  • Talent Acquisition Partner: Collaborate with the Communications Team to highlight stories of local engagement, community impact, and supplier excellence.

Compensation Package

  • We offer a competitive base salary of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, reflecting your skills and experience.
