Cellar Door Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cellar Door Manager to lead our team and establish a premium Cellar Door experience.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, managerial experience in the hospitality sector, and a positive approach to work. They will be responsible for leading the Cellar Door team, ensuring opening and closing procedures are followed, and maintaining a clean and tidy environment.

  • Manage the daily operations of the Cellar Door, including staff training and supervision.
  • Conduct wine tastings and host visiting groups, promoting wine sales and membership of the Wine Club.
  • Actively promote wine sales and Wine Club membership, achieving specified targets.
  • Stock take and order wine and food, implementing effective stock rotation and waste minimisation strategies.
  • Assist with group bookings, wine tasting enquiries, and private tour reservations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a managerial position in a hospitality environment.
  • Ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • A high standard of personal presentation with a friendly and genuine attitude.
  • Proven experience in customer service and creating engaging customer experiences.

Essential requirements include a valid Australian driver's licence, Tasmanian RSA certificate, and Tasmanian Food Handling Certificate.
