Cellar Door Supervisor Job Description

Established in 1974, our vineyard boasts breathtaking views of Marion Bay and Maria Island.

As a Cellar Door Supervisor, you'll be responsible for ensuring the successful operation of the Cellar Door. This includes assisting with staff training, maintaining a clean and tidy environment, conducting wine tastings, hosting visiting groups, and promoting wine sales.

Key duties include:

  • Staff Training and Management: Assist with staff training and development to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, responding to their queries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Wine Sales and Promotion: Conduct wine tastings, host visiting groups, and promote wine sales to achieve targets.
  • Operational Management: Ensure operational requirements are met, including stock taking, ordering food, and managing group bookings and reservations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a supervisory position in hospitality or a similar role.
  • Able to show initiative and work within a team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritise work tasks.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain well-organised under pressure.

Essential Requirements:

  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Valid Australian driver's licence.
  • Tasmanian RSA certificate.
  • Tasmanian Food Handling Certificate.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Hospitality Management.
  • Current police check.
