**Job Summary**
Senior Market Development ManagerWe are seeking a seasoned Senior Market Development Manager to join our leadership team in Australia and New Zealand. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies for the premium spirits portfolio in these markets.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and execute market expansion plans to drive business growth and increase market share.
- Collaborate with distributors to accelerate brand equity and market presence, focusing on The Macallan and Highland Park.
- Identify and pursue distribution opportunities in key cities and affluent clientele, strengthening partnerships between Edrington and distributors.
- Lead and guide distributors' Brand Managers, providing coaching and support to achieve sales targets and brand excellence.
- Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent; an MBA is preferred with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- A proven track record of success in business development, international expansion, and sales, preferably from the premium wine & spirits industry.
- Commercial acumen and extensive knowledge of the premium consumer goods category, including key players, trends, and regulatory landscape of Australia and New Zealand.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances in Australia and New Zealand.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
