
Work Injury Prevention Specialist

About the Role
This is a pivotal position within our organization where you will be instrumental in implementing timely and cost-effective injury management strategies to promote early recovery and durable return to work for injured employees. You will work closely with claims teams and case managers to apply structured injury management practices that reduce costs and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with claims operations and treatment providers to drive reduction of claim costs and impact through evidence-based injury management.
- Provide expert guidance to support case managers and employers managing physical, psychological, and hybrid work injuries.
- Evaluate and implement effective provider management strategies and relationships to ensure business alignment and drive positive return-to-work outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement return-to-work initiatives aimed at optimizing customer and commercial outcomes.
- Analyze and improve injury management processes and procedures within teams and business units to continuously enhance return-to-health and work outcomes.
- Cultivate capability by coaching and mentoring teams on injury management methodologies to minimize claim duration and costs.
- Ensure adherence to relevant legislative timeframes, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and compliance challenges.
- Design and facilitate training sessions focused on embedding strategies, processes, and relevant legislation or guidelines.
Your Qualifications
- Prolonged experience in occupational rehabilitation, claims management, and/or return-to-work related to injury management.
- Comprehensive understanding of regulatory and/or legislative compliance requirements impacting the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to align business objectives with organizational priorities.
- Coaching and mentoring expertise.
- Aptitude for managing internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with psychological conditions and/or mental health qualifications is highly valued.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
