Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive professional to join our team as an Injury Prevention Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing Amazon's safety health and wellness program across multiple sites, promoting a positive safety culture and complying with Amazon safety standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and implementing all areas of the Amazon Global Safety Health & Wellness Program as directed by safety leadership;
  • Promoting a positive safety culture while maintaining a safe work environment;
  • Diving deep to learn each site's areas of opportunity and identifying risk reduction efforts to focus on;
  • Leading and coordinating efforts to deliver ergonomic assessments with guidance from the regional ergonomics team;
  • Evaluating trends, providing analysis (including participation in injury investigation process) of all soft tissues injuries across the site(s), and developing actions plans to mitigate risk;
  • Identifying and defining measurable project objectives and outcomes for the site while ensuring collaboration and scale;
  • Being actively involved with improvements to the standard work process, evaluating potential poor ergonomic conditions through change management processes;
  • Supporting the site team's execution of Wellness and health programs and the improvement of Wellness services performance at a site/multi-site level;
  • Training, coaching and assisting operational and WHS leaders in supporting their Safety responsibilities in this space;
  • Creating and delivering weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly business reports to key stakeholders;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with Site leaders and Directors;
  • Experience with industrial wellness programs;
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability;
  • Must be a self-starter and highly motivated individual.
