About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Db2 System Administrator to join our team at Kyndryl Australia Pty Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and administering the backbone of our application database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, monitor, optimize, and maintain Db2 application databases to ensure peak performance.
  • Develop reliable backup and recovery plans, and perform periodic health checks and reporting on database backups.
  • Manage ongoing DB2 application database housekeeping, including Reorg, Runstats, Load, Unload, etc.
  • Support client end users, acting on incoming issues and change requests, and correspond with external client application developers and their teams.
  • Conduct capacity monitoring, growth projections, and make pre-emptive requests for additional resourcing as required.
Requirements
  • Must be able to obtain Baseline Security or NV1 or NV2 Clearance.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in any IT-related course.
  • Excellent understanding of Db2 for z/OS V12 and higher, including Db2 Access Paths, deploying Db2 application structure changes, and TSO / ISPF environment.
  • Good to have 3rd Party tool exposure, including Platinum (Broadcomm) suite, BMC, and IBM DB-Admin tools.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 implementation and management, VMware ESXi experience, Public/private cloud management, and Automation experience.
