Holistic Support Specialist

As a dedicated caregiver in our mental health and addictions services, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work in various community settings, including detox, stabilization, in-home, and outreach for withdrawal management.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide holistic care to clients with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes
- Develop and implement personalized care plans that address the unique needs of each client
- Utilize evidence-based practices and best practices for co-occurring disorders to inform care decisions
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as an RN or RPN
- Up to two years of recent experience working with clients with addictions and co-occurring disorders in settings such as detox, stabilization, in-home, and outpatient
- Knowledge of Canadian Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, current CPR, applicable legislation, and community resources
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Leadership and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to perform duties and operate related equipment
- Basic computer skills
- May require travel and transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements
- A competitive salary range of $41.42 - $59.52 per hour
- 0.74 paid FTE
- 52.5 bi-weekly hours
- Start date: July 14, 2025
