Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide holistic care to clients with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders

  • Utilize evidence-based practices and best practices for co-occurring disorders to inform care decisions
Qualifications:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as an RN or RPN
  • Up to two years of recent experience working with clients with addictions and co-occurring disorders in settings such as detox, stabilization, in-home, and outpatient
  • Knowledge of Canadian Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, current CPR, applicable legislation, and community resources
Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Leadership and teamwork skills
Physical Demands:
  • Physical ability to perform duties and operate related equipment
