Job Description:

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the infrastructure and equipment at supported accommodations are well maintained and presented. This role guarantees a safe environment for clients and staff by complying with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Undertake general building maintenance, including repairing furniture, doors, locks, curtains, lights, sinks, toilets and other equipment.">
  • Maintain gardens.">
  • Perform minor painting works.">
  • Collect building and maintenance materials as required.">
  • Undertake scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs.">
  • E nsure facilities are well presented through regular inspections.">
  • Assist with delivering chemicals and filling chemical bottles.">
  • Maintain adequate stock of supplies for the facility.">
  • Maintain vehicles located on site.">

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to perform basic building and equipment maintenance, painting and handyman duties.">
  • Knowledge and ability to operate various tools used in building and equipment maintenance.">
  • Use, monitor and repair tools/equipment to ensure safe use.">
  • Organise, manage time and prioritise effectively throughout the day.">
  • Adjust or repair faulty/broken equipment.">
  • Read, interpret and work from plans, drawings and specifications.">
  • Analyse situations and act effectively.">
  • Beginner level computer literacy.">
