About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Officer to join our Governance, Strategy and Planning team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality policy advice and support to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and contribute to departmental and whole-of-government reporting and planning activities, including the Annual Report and specific purpose plan reporting.
  • Provide technical support for the department's project management system, Enterprise Project Online.
  • Assist the Principal Policy Officer to manage improvements to the Enterprise Project Online system and support its users through the change process.
  • Mature departmental approaches to project management and contribute to the development of project management resources and capability building.
About You

We are looking for a Senior Policy Officer who has the following attributes:

  • The ability to research and analyse issues, communicate complex information in clear and user-friendly products, and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills and a commitment to customer service.
  • The ability to use or quickly acquire knowledge and capability in IT systems, such as SharePoint and Microsoft Project.
  • High-level writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and coordination skills.
